  1. What license is the SPP software available under?

    The SPP software is available for use under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2.

  2. Why have you used this license?

    Part of the condition for the open source release of this JISC-funded software was that it wouldn't be able to be included in proprietry software that could then be sold back into the UK academic sector. The GPL allows this condition to be met.
